Peter and Kim run a successful specialty meals organization from their 1950s ranch-style house. However the kitchen where, over the past 15 years, they conceptualized, prepared, and tested gourmet goodies, for example gingerbread and scones, was significantly less than appetizing. The 17-by-13½-foot room, with its behind-the-times appliances and decor, was so retro that it appeared in several Television commercials as the quintessential old-school kitchen. To turn the location into a modern-day masterpiece, the couple, along with their daughters, Christie, 14, and Sarah, 11, named upon our redo queen Candice Olson.
